i find watercolour an extremely sensitive substance in painting, it reveals the fragility of the subject, because contours are never too definite, it's like the stuff souls are made of.

this one reminded me of brueghel's winter celebrations on snow, but this is certainly taken towards a different direction, it handles the topic of "anonymity" by repressing the depiction of the detail, of the individual, by sketching and resuming.
